New years day ride
« on: November 08, 2009, 03:22:40 PM »

Wed., Thurs., Fri., Sat., (Dec. 30, 31, Jan. 1, & 2).  You will be able to ride Sat night but no riding on Sunday.

Pricing will be Wednesday $40
                   Thursday    $30
                   Friday        $20
                   Saturday    $15

NO ONE DAY PASSES.

Shop will be closed New Years Day due to high traffic, but will be open Wednesday, Thursday, & Saturday.

They will have a new shipment of Hoodies as usual so get them when you first get there because they go fast!

Should be a good ride.  We are hoping for nice weather this year.

Will post up more info as I get it.

Hope to see everyone there.

simple answer: MONEY.

long answer: they make more money, logistics of having different color arm bands and keeping track of which color is what and having to buy those colors and guessing how many per day etc. its just easier to have the tiered day system and cheaper and more profitable for them.

this place is this guys cash cow. just imagine not having to have a real job and make all that money just to let people ride around a few days a year. until the EPA started on him he was in hog heaven.

one year before the shutdown they bought 7000 arm bands and sold out of them and the line to get in was still backed up all day. just say 20 a band. that is a lot of money. and this was one day a year.

they don't have any incentive to do one day passes.

New Year's is the ONLY event that we do not offer 1 day passes.  You can pay by the day any other ride or event weekend.  We tried to make the event as affordable for people as we could.  The only day that the price was regular price ($15/day) was Saturday, the last day.  Any other day, you payed through the end of the event and it averaged out to $10/day.  For the customers that wanted just New Year's Day.....$20 is not an outragous price.  As if it's anyone's business, there were 7000 armbands bought for one new years.....and they lasted us the WHOLE YEAR.  I'm not sure where you are getting your information, however I hope that you will be certain of the facts before posting as such and if you need to verify something.......you have the number.
